MIRAFLORES - OVER 20 YEARS OF TRACK RECORD
  
Surely in the early days, when the founder of Miraflores, Ole Sigurdsson started planning the resort he could not have imagined the final result of today. On the other hand, those who work with Ole, a civil engineer trained in Denmark, will probably disagree. Under his direction, his team of architects, builders and managers have demonstrated extraordinary attention to all details in all phases of the development, which today is clearly evident to anyone visiting the resort, of the careful forward planning of this completed complex of over 1000 apartments and townhouses.
Miraflores struggled at first to be seen as anything other than one more of the same kind of no particular merit. The complete turnabout came in the mid eighties, and Miraflores has since been recognized as one of the top quality resorts in the Mijas Municipality and, one would say, in the whole of Southern Spain.
Miraflores is an amazing multicultural neighbourhood of over 30 nationalities, all living harmoniously together and enjoying the cosmopolitan atmosphere while respecting each other's differences. It takes approximately one and a half hours to walk all the streets of Miraflores, from one extreme to the other of this over 350.000 square metres resort, landscaped into a series of very cleverly planned levels to provide maximum sea views and privacy.
The pleasant walk takes one through tropical gardens with exotic plants and flowers, with streams and fountains, all maintained to a high standard. What one notices immediately, is the order and cleanliness of this magnificent development. Right from it's outset, and even before the first brick was laid, the planning and management of Miraflores was organised to assure that the conservation of the qualities as and when each phase of the development was completed would be adhered to.
Today Miraflores consists of 20 Micro Communities, each managed by their individual committee of elected owners and administrators, which are all members and collaborators through the committee of the Miraflores Grand Community. The results of the hard work and dedication of these volunteers and individual owners are very visible and fundamental in preserving the merits of Miraflores within a reasonable budget.

Installations & Leisure Facilities

Central to life is the Club Miraflores building. Its exotic setting within lush gardens and its large swimming pools together with its pathway along the stream with fountains and water cascade is a popular place to visit both for the residents of Miraflores and its neighbours.
The bar and restaurant at Club Miraflores is a fabulous meeting place for all ages throughout the day and evening enjoying either breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The well-appointed menu offers high quality food and beverages at very reasonable prices and the evening entertainment of international artists are an experience in itself.
Club Miraflores also provides a full reception service where the residents and visitors will find the answer to their entire service requirements. Miraflores employs an army of management, maintenance and security staff to provide a personalised service.
This one-stop service facility with multilingual staff is of vital importance for comfort and safe living at Miraflores.
You don't need to go far to enjoy your favourite pastime activities. The leisure installations at Miraflores boast over 20 swimming pools, tennis courts, lawn bowls and the adjacent 18 holes Miraflores Golf Club. The location of Miraflores by the Mediterranean Sea is furthermore enhanced with additional water sport activities such as windsurfing, water-skiing, jet skiing, catamarans - or just simply relax under the shades of a tree in the gardens of Miraflores.
Today, the offices of Ole Sigurdsson and his dedicated professional team are located in the prestigious building within the resort known as Centro Miraflores. Their continuous collaboration with the owners committees and management of the resort is essential to preserve the buildings and environment of Miraflores while introducing, from time to time, new services for the comfort and leisure of both residents and visitors.
Miraflores has developed wonderfully into an internationally awarded resort, and its transformation since its inception is far beyond anyone's expectation, living up to its slogan:
